Unveiling the statue of Dr.Vikram Sarabhai (12th Aug 2022)

Introduction :

Celebration of 103rd birth anniversary of Father of Indian Space Programme Dr. Vikram Sarabhai was done by unveiling his relocated statue by Shri Nilesh M Desai, Director SAC in presence of Vikram Sarabhai’s family.

Dignitaries included his daughter – Smt. Mallika Sarabhai, his son Shri Kartikeya Sarabhai alongwith his wife. Shri Dilip Surkar – Director of Vikram Sarabhai Community Centre and Dr. Padmanabh Joshi, ex-DECU employee – also graced the occasion. The statue was unveiled by Director, SAC and he spoke about celebrating 103rd birth anniversary as Dr.Vikram Sarabhai Jayanti.
