Space Applications Centre (SAC) organized more than 60 events/activities under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) celebrations in two years, which started from August -2021 and commenced in August-2023. The entire gamut of activities were aimed at creating awareness among masses about the contribution of our freedom fighters in India’s independence, space science and space technology, swachhta, LiFE themes etc.

Various events/ activities were planned where experts from SAC and also from outside interacted with school students and created awareness about space science and space technology. In similar pattern various competitions were organized where a huge participation from many parts of Gujarat was received. Space on Wheels was also very well received by the audience.

Organizing huge no. of events in grand manner was made possible due to the dedicated efforts, wholehearted contribution and unflinching support of many people. All these events/ activities were a result of strong leadership of Director SAC who has been the pillar of strength, excellent guide and mentor. He encouraged and motivated the organizing team at each and every step which helped in keeping the momentum on. To acknowledge the contributions of each and everyone, Director SAC appreciated the efforts of all in the Concluding Program held on 29th Nov. 2023 at SAC.
