International Moon Day (20th July 2022)

Introduction :

International Moon Day with the Theme, "Lunar Exploration, Coordination & Sustainability" was celebrated by SAC and DECU on 20th July 2022 in association with GUJCOST, Gandhinagar and GUJARAT SCIENCE CITY, AHMEDABAD. The competitions included – Essay writing, Poetry writing, Elocution and Quiz competition were held in Science City. Around 250 students from Adani Vidhya Vihar and a few other schools enthusiastically participated in all the events.

An insightful presentation on "Optical cameras developed by SAC for India’s Moon exploration mission" delivered by Shri Dhrupesh S Shah- Scientist/SAC-ISRO followed by an informative presentation on "Chandrayaan Data Processing" by Shri Kannan Venkatesh Iyer. The interaction was followed by prize distribution to the winners by our Scientists.

This event offered an opportunity for the students and participants to interact with SAC senior scientists having expertise in different domains of space science.
