Technology transfer is the process by which knowledge, intellectual property and capabilities developed utilising ISRO’s resources at its centres/units and elsewhere (through joint development efforts and funded research) is transferred to external entities including public funded enterprises, private industry, academia, and state / central govt organisations.
It is ISRO’s mandate to actively pursue technology transfer so that benefits of its space programmes are transferred to Indian industries both public and private sector thereby contributing towards technological self reliance, industrial as well as national growth. ISRO technology transfer cases fall under three categories as follows in the order of reducing direct stake of ISRO:
SAC has transferred many technologies with Indian industries for commercialisation including spin off and buy back. It is in this context that SAC invites interested organizations to come forward for technology know-how transfer. Some of the technologies transferred to industries in recent times are:
Interested Indian vendors with technical knowledge, sound financial background and adequate infrastructure for manufacturing & fabrication of products would be preferred.
