Space Technology Incubation Centers [S-TICs]
To attract and nurture the young academia with innovative ideas / research aptitude for carrying out research and developing the Academia - Industry ecosystem for Space Technology, ISRO has set-up a Space Technology Incubation Centre in 6 regions of our Country viz. Central, East, North, North-East, South and West.
This will enable the young academia to realize their innovative ideas / research aptitude into space grade components/elements which can be utilized for space applications, and guide them towards setting-up the future start-ups.
The centre will be headed by a regional coordinator, who will be identified by S-TICs from its existing staff. The Regional Coordinator of the S-TICs shall be responsible for overall management of the S-TICs, including its day - to - day functioning and recommending all expenditures under the approved budget of the S-TICs.
6 S-TICs are operational at six zones of India.
