NISAR Mission

NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR), is a collaborative mission jointly by the Indian Space Research Organisation and the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration, planned for launch in 2020.

The mission is a dual L- and S-band polarimetric SAR with a 12-day interferometric orbit that will provide systematic global coverage over all the landmass including cryosphere.

NASA-ISRO Partnership

The NASA-ISRO SAR (NISAR) Mission would acquire radar images of surface changes globally. Rapid sampling over the life of the mission would allow for understanding Earth processes and change.
