As recommended by UNISPACE - III and as per the instruction of ISRO/DOS, Space Applications Centre has been celebrating the World Space Week during October 4-10. Space week is celebrated to popularize the contributions of ISRO/DOS in space research, technology and its applications amongst the general public and the student community in particular.

Following programme were organized :

•  Space exhibition was kept open from 1000 Hrs to 1700 Hrs with Various video film shows on our space programme.

•  Face to face interactions with senior scientists between 1700 Hrs. to 1830 Hrs.

•  Popular literature and publicity material was distributed to the visitors.

In spite of examinations in the school / colleges, more than 5000 visitors from all over Gujarat have participated in this celebration.
