Dr B. S. Munjal has been bestowed upon with “Innovative Student Projects Award 2007-Doctoral  level” and “K.Suryanarain  Rau   Memorial Senior Student Award” for Research and Development in Smart  Technology-2007 by Indian Society for Advancement of  Materials and Process Engineering (ISAMPE) at NAL, Bangalore on Jun. 22, 2007
  
 
At all India level,  it was two stage process involving shortlisting the nomination by evaluating the PhD thesis   followed by detailed scrutiny and evaluation through oral presentation of work to the Jury by all the Doctoral level  nominees at INAE, office New Delhi.
